Job Summary: The Greenhouse Worker (or Manager) is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and supervision of greenhouse activities to ensure optimal plant growth and productivity. The role involves planting, watering, fertilizing, monitoring environmental conditions, pest control, and maintaining equipment and records.
Key Responsibilities: a. Prepare soil, seedbeds, and planting materials. b. Plant, transplant, and propagate crops according to seasonal schedules. c. Maintain appropriate temperature, humidity, and light levels. d. Monitor and control pests, diseases, and weeds. e. Operate greenhouse equipment such as fans, irrigation systems, and heaters. f. Harvest, package, and prepare produce for distribution or sale. g. Maintain accurate records of planting, watering, and harvesting. h. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. i. Supervise greenhouse assistants or seasonal workers (for managerial roles).
