
Forklift Operator
Job Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating industrial forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, load, and unload goods safely and efficiently within the warehouse or production area. The role ensures timely movement of materials while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities: a. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner. b. Load and unload goods from trucks, shelves, and pallets. c. Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or facility. d. Inspect forklifts before and after use to ensure proper working condition. e. Maintain accurate records of material movements and deliveries. f. Assist in organizing and stacking materials in storage areas. g. Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately. h. Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies. i. Support inventory counts and stock management when required.
Qualifications and Skills: i. SSCE / OND or equivalent qualification. ii. Valid Forklift Operator Certification (required). iii. Proven experience operating forklifts or similar machinery. iv. Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory handling. v. Physical stamina and ability to lift or move heavy items. vi. Strong attention to safety, detail, and efficiency. vii. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
