Construction Worker

Job Summary: A Construction Worker performs a variety of physical tasks on construction sites, including preparing job sites, loading and unloading materials, operating tools and machinery, and assisting skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, and electricians. The role ensures that construction projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities: a. Prepare construction sites by cleaning and removing debris or obstacles. b. Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment. c. Assist skilled workers (e.g., bricklayers, plumbers, electricians) as needed. d. Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete, sand, and gravel. e. Operate basic construction machinery and hand tools safely. f. Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). g. Erect and dismantle scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures. h. Measure, cut, or assemble building materials as directed. i. Maintain equipment and report any faults or damages. j. Support site organization to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.

Qualifications and Skills: i. Minimum of SSCE / Technical Certificate or equivalent. ii. Prior experience in construction or general labor is an advantage. iii. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards. iv. Physical strength, endurance, and ability to work in various weather conditions. v. Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. vi. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
